Services Held Friday For Louise Bauerkemper

Louise Margaret Bauerkemper, daughter of William and Margaret Bauerkemper was born April 23, 1880 on a farm near Council Bluffs. She passed away Nov. 21 at Tabor.

She lived at home until her mother's death, then spent six years in Missouri caring for an ailing sister. After her sister's death she returned to Council Bluffs where for 20 years she was employed at the Iowa School for the Deaf. Later she came to Silver City to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Emma Markel.

Louise was a member of the Silver City Methodist church and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.

She had been in failing health the past two years and passed away at the Tabor Rest Home where she had been cared for. She had a warm and unselfish personality and was happiest when helping others. She was a friend to all who knew her.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing a sister, Mrs. Emma Markel, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services were held from the Silver City Methodist church Friday, Nov. 24, at 2 p. m., and were conducted by the Rev. E. LeRoy Pullman. Music was furnished by Mrs. H. J. Adams, Mrs. George Miller and Mrs. Harold Skerritt.

Flower ladies were Mrs. Phyllis Skerritt and Mrs. Loran Boyer. Pallbearers were Elmer Bauerkemper, Lloyd Bauerkemper, Alfred Christiansen, George Bauerkemper, John Maynes and Arnold Maynes.

Interment was made in Salem Lutheran cemetery near Council Bluffs. Raynor-Hamilton Funeral home of Glenwood was in charge of arrangments.

Relatives from a distance attending the services were: John Maynes, Millbank, S. D.; Joe Maynes, Aberdeen, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. George Bauerkemper, Walnut; Mrs. C. R. Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bauerkemper and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bauerkemper, all of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Haynes, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Christansen, Mrs. Richard Christiansen and Mrs. Joe Koski, all of Council Bluffs.

Among friends who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kahl and Mrs. Hila Falk of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Les Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Markel and Mrs. Kate Sullivan of Malvern; Mrs. June Wise of Glenwood; Mrs. L. R. McGarry of La Jolla, Calif.; Mrs. Sherman Stonebraker and Max Stonebraker of Henderson; Mrs. Dora E. Vandas of Omaha; Mrs. Marjorie Raynor of Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Myers of Glenwood.
