Mrs. Anna Brandt died Monday evening, April 20th, at the home of her son, Bernhardt Brandt, aged over 82 years. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the German Lutheran church, west of Mineola, Rev. Hoff officiating. Mrs Brandt leaves to mourn her loss, three sons, one daughter and an aged husband. She had been a resident of Mills county for over forty years and had the respect of all who know her. The funeral cortege was one of the largest ever seen in that portion of the country. Interment was in the Plumer settlement cemetery.

Mrs. Anna Brandt, wife of Jurgen Brandt, residing in the Plumer settlement, died Monday night at 9 o'clock of old age, following an illness of four days. Mrs. Brandt was 81 years old and was one of the oldest settlers of that community, having come there with her husband forty years ago. They have resided there ever since. Mrs. Brandt leaves a husband and four children. Two sons, Henry and Bernhardt, reside in Mills county and another son, John, lives at Portland, Ore. A daughter, Mrs. Inselman (Enselman) resides at Island Park. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence, Rev. Hoff officiating. Interment will take place in Plumer settlement cemetery.
