Emil C. Kreft

Emil C. Kreft, 70, 318 Georgia Ave., died Saturday at a local hospital following a short illness.

Born at Omaha, he had been a resident of this city more than 60 years. An employee of the store department of the Union Pacific Railroad, he had been with that company 15 years. He had not missed one day of work during his railroading.

He attended First Baptist Church, was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include: widow, Mary T.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Simmonds of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Leroy Elms of Omaha; son, Jack, at home; two brothers, Erwin and Ernie, both of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Mrs. C. F. Clausen and Mrs. Arthur Moran, both of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Meyer Chapel. The Rev. Allan R. Knight, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
