E. H. KREFT, OLD RESIDENT, IS DEAD

LEWIS TOWNSHIP PIONEER LEAVES 11 GREAT GRAND-CHILDREN

Ernest H. Kreft, 83, Star route, pioneer resident of Lewis township, died at his home Sunday after an illness of two years. He was a retired farmer and mason.

Mr. Kreft was born in Germany, and had been a resident in Lewis township since his eighteenth birthday. For eighteen years he was a township assessor.

Surviving are his widow, Mary; four sons, Charles Kreft of Omaha, Emil Kreft, of Council BLuffs, and Ernest and Ervin Kreft both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Ed Robins, living in Canada, Mrs. John Beck, and Mrs. A. C. Moran, both of Council Bluffs, and Miss Minnie Kreft, at home; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The body was removed to Cutler's funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Cutler's funeral home. Interment will be in the Plumers cemetery.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Ray Myers and Mrs. F. Krumenacher.

Rev. Martin Mueller of St. Paul's Lutheran church was in charge.

Pallbearers were Charlie, Emil, Ernest, and Ervin Kreft, all sons, and John Beck and Arthur Moran, sons-in-law of the deceased man.

Burial was in Plumer settlement.


Funeral services for Ernest H. Kreft will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Cutler's funeral chapel with Rev. Martin F. Mueller of St. Paul's Lutheran church in charge. Burial will be in the Plumer settlement.
