Arthur C. Moran

Arthur C. Moran, 84, 1109 Harrison St., died Thursday at an Omaha hospital following a short illness.

Moran served 40 years of public service before his retirement in 1953 as deputy county treasurer. He spent a total of 26 years at various times in the employment of the Pottawattamie County treasurer's office, beginning in 1918.

He spent two years working in the Mills County Treasurer's office, the other 12 years was spent teaching school, mostly at Glendale and Manawa.

Moran was born in Council Bluffs and resided most of his life here.

Survivors include several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Meyer Chapel. The Rev. Charles Murnan, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
