Delmar D. Saar

Delmar D. Saar, 76, 2741 Ave. I, died today at a local hospital.

Mr. Saar was born in Bentley and lived in Council Bluffs most of his life.

He was a mechanic for Neary International and retired in 1975 after 15 years. He was a World War II veteran.

He and his wife, Bertha A., were married 58 years.

Survivors besides his wife include three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Lolly) Graybill and Donna “Judy” Bailey of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Lester (Mary) Bremholm of Honey Creek; one son, Otto of Council Bluffs; one sister, Mrytle Campbell of Council Bluffs; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Beem-Belford Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerold P. Morris of Lighthouse Temple Church of the Open Bible officiating. Burial will be in Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the church.
