Death of Mrs. Schoening

Mrs Schoening, wife of Henry E. Schoening, died of pneumonia at 5 p.m Friday, aged 73 years.

Mrs Schoening was a native of Holstein, Germany, and had been a resident of Pottawattamie county or Council Bluffs for more than fifty years.

Mrs. Schoening is survived by her husband, Henry E. Schoening; a well known pioneer business man of the city, and three sons, August and Marquard of Belgrade, Nebr., and Charles of Dumfries; and three daughters, Mrs. Emma Schwenson, of Belgrade, Nebr., Mrs Annie Allis, 1010 Sixth ave, this city, and Minnie Tank, 733 Mill street, this city.

Short funeral services were held from the family residence at 10 o'clock Sunday morning, following which the body was removed to the brick church in Plumer settlement, where services were held as soon as the funeral procession arrived. Rev. Mr Hoff of the German Lutheran church of Treynor was in charge and interment was in Plumer German Lutheran cemetery. — Nonpareil
