MURRAY, Neb. — Francis Paul Wood, 70, of Murray, Neb., died Sept. 16 in Murray.

He was born Oct 3, 1928, in Dunlap and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a professional dog trainer. He was a member of the Murray Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star past master in Lees Summit, Mo., the Disabled American Veterans and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene (Radloff); a son, Ronnie, of Alvo, Neb.; two sisters, Mary Hance of Foresthill, Calif., and Patricia May of Sarasota, Fla.; three brothers, Bill Swanger of Treynor, Dennis Swanger of Logan and Bernard A. Swanger of Glenwood; and two grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at McCurdy Funeral Home.

Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Christian Church in Murray with the Rev. Larry Hammons officiating. Burial will be in the Plumer Cemetery.
