Know all men by these presents, That Alexander Ritter and Catharine Ritter of the County of Pottawattamie and State of Iowa in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred Dollars in hand paid by the Trustees of Salem's Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Mills County and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Trustees for the use and benefit of said Congregation the following described premises, situated in the County of Mills and the State of Iowa to wit: Commencing at the North West corner of the South West qr of the North West qr, of Section No two (2) in the No Seventy three (73) Nos Range No forty three (43) N, running then South on the section line twenty 20 rods, thence East eighty 80 rods, thence North twenty 20 rods, thence West eighty 80 rods to the place of beginning containing ten acres, And we hereby covenant with the said Trustees that we hold said premises by good and perfect??? that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same that they are free and clear from all liens and incumbrances whatsoever. And we covenant to Warrant and defend in said premises (against the lawful claims of all persons whoinsoever, And the said Catharine Ritter hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and to the above described premises.

Edmundson a Notary Public within and for said County personally came Alexander Ritter and Catharine Ritter personally to me known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above Instrument as Grantors and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein expressed. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto inscribed my name and affixed my official Seal at Council Bluffs on the date last above written.
